According to TVShowsOnDVD.com, Season 8 of Law & Order Criminal Intent will be released on October 23rd of this year. It is, reportedly, available for pre-order at Amazon.com.

Thanks so much for that, I have tucked that info away for October. I just received S7 yesterday, so it will be great to get S8 a few months later, even though S8 is not the best season. Here in Australia we only have S1-5 available, so I am so thankful for multi-region dvd players, and Amazon.
Hi Leigh: Glad this was helpful to you. I haven't bought Season 7 yet. Come to think of it, don't believe I bought Season 6 yet either. I can access all those episodes on my iPod or stream them through Netflix or Amazon. Guess I'll eventually get around to buying them one of these days. I sure do miss our Bobby Goren.
Since only Seasons 1 -5 are available in the UK, I bought Seasons 6 and 7 from Amazon France, so I thought I'd better check there for Season 8 - et voila! It's already available over there (DVDs have both French AND English soundtracks). Mine is currently en route to me across the Channel. I just wish it was available to buy as two halves 'cause I've no wish to see Fly Boy ;0)
Hey Diane: I agree with you. I hate to pay full price when there are only - what - 8 episodes that interest me.
French S8 arrived today and is very RED (box colour-wise that is!) I think I may pass completely on the 'official' release of Season 9, on account of it consists of 2 episodes as far as I'm concerned.
I hear you, Diane, and agree with you completely about Season 9. Enjoy your Season 8 DVD.
I haven't bought an official set since I was sent (big grin here) S5...I have all the episodes on my computer, on back-up discs, and converted to dvd's...I guess if they actually put extras on them I might buy them, but until then I'll make do :)
