"Phantom" Extras

I am so sick of snow and ice and winter and frigid temperatures. Bobby is the only thing that warms the cockles of my heart these days. Exactly, what is a cockle, I ask you? And what possible function does it have in one's heart? Oh, well...enough silliness, or perhaps not since this is the "Extras" post, after all. A healthy portion of silliness is definitely in order.

Apparently, I was in a musical frame of mind as I prepared these since a few of the "captions" are of song lyrics. There's even a Subway commercial thrown in for the heck of it. Most is just plain silliness on my part. A girl has to have something to do to while away the long, cold, dreary wintry Ohio nights.

There is a reason behind the caption when Eames is looking at the file and the caption says something about the sound man boozing it up again. While I was snagging the screen caps, I noticed the microphone appear at the top of the doorway. It dipped up and down a couple of times and eventually disappeared, but it was definitely in the scene as "Cookie" walked toward the interview room. It is visible just to the left of the dialogue box...the little black "blob" at the top and in the middle of the doorway.

It's fun...the things one notices when one advances through an episode one frame at a time.

"Semi-Professional" Extras

At first blush, I didn't think I had found all that many "extras" during my screen capping endeavors of this episode. It turns out, there were more than I realized. Sometimes, they just "pop" out at me and, other times, I have to engage in a wee bit more searching. All my problems should be this easy. I mean, how hard is it to focus all of one's rapt attention on Mr. D'Onofrio...or more specifically...his alter ego, Robert Goren?

I put together two slideshows. One, I believe, BASRIC will find especially entertaining, since its singular content is of our stalwart detective's expansive back. It is a splendid back, after all.

"Homo Homini Lupis" Extras

I have three small slideshows featuring different groupings of "extras" I found in this episode. One is devoted to the "infamous" tongue flicks, and there are several in this one...even Eames gets in on the act. And, yes, I realize that one of the photos is extremely blurry, but I included it to show that, even in a burst of speed, the man's tongue has a will of its own.

Then there are the caps that just tickle my funny bone for some reason, and I "try" to add a witty caption.

Finally, there is a slideshow for Bobby, "The Thinker." I just love watching this man "ponder." You can almost see the wheels turning, hear the gears grinding, visualize the internal workings of that magnificent brain as he ruminates on the situation.

"The Insider" Extras

I found several little "gems" in this episode. Well, at least I thought they were amusing. There were also several "tongue sightings" in this one, so I simply could not resist the temptation to highlight them. Perhaps not my best "captions," but then no one is paying me to be funny.

And I thought this photo was worthy of a second look. Notice how the fabric is stretched taut across that wide, expansive chest. Oh, so there is no mistaking my "intent" here, I'm talking about Bobby's chest.

"Crazy" Extras

This episode had several caps that I believed worthy of inclusion in this category; i.e., they didn't fit into my regular categories of LOCI episode slideshows, but definitely captured my attention for -- well -- whatever reason.

From this episode, I managed to generate three small "extra" slideshows.

The first one is of Bobby and his encounter with little Sophie. It was very sweet when Bobby used his "magic" to gain the little girl's trust and pulled that red crayon from her ear. The look on Bobby's face when he shows her the crayon is priceless, and the subsequent pictures of Sophie are quite precious.

Next up is, "Sleepy" Bobby. No, he's not really sleeping on the job. I just happened to snag an inordinate number of "closed-eyed" caps from this episode...and this isn't all of them. Is it just me, or does Bobby not look particularly yummy with his eyes closed?

And, finally, I present what I'm calling my "bloopers" slideshow for this episode. Note to Music Wench," you will notice I did not include a "groin" shot immediately following my "pucker up" slide this time.

"The Third Horseman" Extras

I didn't find too many "extras" this time around...just a few I believe to be worth mentioning. For example:

I don't know about you, but if I stuck my tongue out at my boss, I'd most likely be looking for a new job. And there's that "pointing" tie again.

Bobby with his "Quicker Clicker."

I am embarrassed to admit how many of these pencils I presently own.

Bobby seems to be saying, "My, what soft hands you have."

We finally get to see Bobby hold somebody's hand, and it's this old guy. Lucky guy.

Enemy Extras

Every time I cap an episode, I find these little "jewels" that don't quite go with anything, but make absurd comments pop into my head. So, I rounded up a few of them and put them in their own special post.

I have the UK Vixens to thank for the "tie" photo. I cannot recall which one gets the credit, but it is because of them that I cannot look at the man's neckwear anymore without thinking about the "specific" region...the python, groinular region as it were... it's pointing toward. Naughty girls.

Actually, the "Simon Says" photo also includes "belly shirt" the "tilting head" and the "pointing tie"...a veritable Bobby trifecta.
