Just Bobby In "Bright Boy"

I just got off the phone after a nice, long chat with my friend, Linda. She said there was an article in "TV Guide" this week in which USA states -- and I'm paraphrasing here -- that, basically, people don't want to go to bed "depressed," so that is why they offer shows like "Burn Notice," "Royal Pains," "In Plain Sight," and "White Collar." There was no mention whatsoever of "Law & Order CI."

Idiots. I mean, do you find anything...anything at all...remotely "depressing" about the gorgeous man in the following slideshow? I didn't think so. I rest my case. Welcome to USA...the clueless network.

Well, I'm VERY depressed because I can't go to bed with Bobby.

Well, now. If we're going by THAT logic, Jazzy, then I suppose there's a whole lot of depressed women walking around out there. LOL At last, I know the reason for my depression...I "ain't" got no Bobby to sleep with. I do have a serious "Bobby Hobby" though. That helps fill the time.

That's right, BobbyG. What would we be without our Bobby-Hobby?
Your slideshow is wonderful! Amazing image quality btw.
Thanks for posting :)

I even 'enjoyed' (that's probably not the right word!) being 'worried' about Bobby, but that's thanks to Vincent making him SO real,I care deeply about this ficitonal character. I'm only depressed now because we have only 2 episodes of LOCI left...and now I have a NEW worry! Given USA's love affair with the 'New Fella' just how much is Detective Goren going to be IN those 2 episodes?? To begin with I just assumed they'd be totally 'Goren/Eames' but suddenly, I'm not so damn sure....

Thank you, Jazzy. I'm glad you liked the slideshow. I don't do anything special. I guess the "subject matter" just dazzles us all.

And, Diane, I know what you mean, I think about Bobby so much, I sometimes forget he's not "real." As for the new season and the "final" episodes, I have gone into "Scarlett O'Hara" mode in that, "I'm not going to think about that today." A bit passive-aggressive, I suppose, but that's what gets me through the dark days.

It's a measure of Vincent's genius that we're all so wound up about someone who doesn't exist ;0) I agree, 'Scarlett O'Hara' mode is probably the best way to go, until USA put us out of - or into! - our misery next year....

i've learnt through old age and sadly experience that there's no point worrying about something over which we have no control - whether we like it or not and as much as i adore bobby bobby, vincent is still out there in all his glory to keep us lustful ladies entertained

mind you, they are right - watching bobby bobby late at night does put me off my sleep ::sigh::

Funnily enough I find nothing derpressing about Bobby being the last thing I see at night...the depression happens when he's not there in the morning...good thing no-one saw me write that :-)

I've come to the conclusion that the 'experts' know nothing..and their ratings mean nothing..stupid people

I love this episode, and you captured him beautifully

Bonnie Hammer of USA must have taken the tool of her surname to the head at least once to find anything depressing about VDO.

Ann, you're exactly right about that control thing. It's like the Serenity Prayer says about accepting the things you can't change and having the courage to change the things you can and having the wisdom to know the difference. As for still having Vincent out there for entertainment, that's true, but he does such limited things and usually has "small" roles, and the subject matter of his films is often "off putting" for me. Don't get me wrong, he's always great in every role he takes on because he is an exceptional actor who embodies the character he portrays. Bobby was the "perfect" character for me. Yes, he had his flaws, but his imperfection is what made him the perfect character...for me. I will miss him very, very much.

Eliza, Bobby may not always be the last thing I see at night or the first thing I see in the morning, but he is "always on my mind." Hmm, sounds like good song lyrics, huh? LOL Thanks, as always. You're so sweet with your compliments, but nobody does it better than you. Hmm, again with the song lyrics...guess I'm in a musical frame of mind this evening.

Sixtwosue, welcome and thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to comment. A most "excellent" observation, by the way.
