Supreme Court Nominee...Uncle Jay Style

I realize that the next "logical" post would have been the comments and Bobby slideshow from the final Goren & Eames LOCI episode, but I'm not quite ready for that. Meanwhile, Music Wench's post today reminded me of this week's "Uncle Jay Explains The News" video in which he sings...dueling banjos style...as to how both parties will handle the upcoming Supreme Court nomination. Funny stuff and... sadly...freakishly accurate.

lol Yep, that's the gist of it.

I do know one thing, I'm glad it's Barak Obama who is choosing the new judge and not John McCain or some other conservative.

I also hate to admit it but it's true. I am leaning more to the left than I ever have in my life and that includes my college days. I think it's a knee jerk reaction to the conservative push back against being rejected in the last election. They're behaving so badly it boggles the mind.

I doubt if you'll even see this now, Music Wench. Sorry, I am so slow, but it comes with age, you know. LOL

Anyway, you see, my knee jerk reaction to the conservatives came with the Clinton administration. The Republicans behaved just as badly back then. It did not matter what policy Clinton tried to get through, they were against it...just because it was his or his administration's idea. It could have been the best idea since sliced bread, but if it came from Clinton, their attitude was it couldn't be good. I vowed then to never, EVER vote for a Republican again, and I haven't. If I don't like the democratic candidate -- and don't get me wrong, there are some bad democrats out there, too -- I just don't vote for that particular office.

Yes, I know that Clinton had the morals of a slug, and had I been Hillary, I would have stapled his who-ha to his thigh. But at least Clinton's lie about not having sex with what's her face did not cost American lives. The same cannot be said of G-Dub's lie about WMDs in Iraq. Families all around the world are still paying for that one. Don't get me started. (I know -- too late.)

And, please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Clinton administration leave office with a sound economy and no deficit? Just look at us now. Thank you G-Dub and all you bleeding heart conservatives. Thank you very, very much.
